Certificates Awarded to Participants of Jean-Paul Vande Reyde’s Training Course “Emotional Intelligence in Business” at the Faculty of Economics

In May 2026, the Faculty of Economics at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv hosted a solemn ceremony to award students certificates for participating in lecture-trainings on emotional intelligence in business. Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, the guest lecturer from Belgium, an experienced business trainer and coach Jean-Paul Vande Reyde, delivered a series of English-language intensive courses for students of the faculty, specifically for those enrolled in the “International Economics”, “Business Economics”, and “Business Administration” educational programs. During the classes, students explored the nature of emotional intelligence (EI) and its crucial significance in the modern business environment. Together with the trainer, they also examined the practical aspects of EI application.

The official event began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Professor Rostyslav Mykhailyshyn. He greeted all those present and presented our guest, Jean-Paul Vande Reyde, with a Letter of Commendation from the Rector of the University, Academician Roman Gladyshevsky, for his significant contribution to the education of youth.

Following this, Jean-Paul Vande Reyde addressed the students with an inspiring speech. He noted that the audience today might well include future leaders of government bodies and top managers of major corporations, upon whom the country’s development will depend in the near future. The lecturer sincerely thanked the students for their engaging cooperation during the classes and expressed confidence that with such wonderful and motivated youth, Ukraine is destined to be a successful and prosperous country. After the guest’s speech, the certificates were awarded to over 60 students who had successfully completed the training. The meeting traditionally concluded with a group festive photoshoot.

About the Lecturer
Jean-Paul Vande Reyde is a long-standing expert in emotional intelligence and human resource management, fluent in five languages. After graduating from the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) in 1975, he gained extensive international experience working as a lecturer, consultant, and coach in various countries. From 1989 to 2012, he headed his own consulting firm, United Consult, providing services to businesses and top executives. Mr. Vande Reyde often defines himself as an “energizer” — a professional who aims to inspire people with energy and knowledge.
Currently, Mr. Vande Reyde resides in Lviv, where he has been serving as a volunteer lecturer at several educational institutions since October 2022. In addition, he helps Belgian entrepreneurs identify opportunities for cooperation with Ukraine, works as an accredited journalist, and consults the charitable organization “Caritas Ukraine” on international sponsorship projects.
