Faculty of Management Staff Participate in an International Scientific Conference at the University of Lodz (Poland)

On April 15, 2026, academic staff of the Department of Management at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv took part in the X International Scientific Conference “Prospects for the Development of Entrepreneurship from a Global Perspective”, organised by the University of Lodz. The conference brought together scholars and practitioners from various countries to discuss current challenges and trends in entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic transformation.

The event served as an important platform for the exchange of research findings and the development of international cooperation in the fields of entrepreneurship, digitalisation, ESG transformation, and entrepreneurship education. Among the organisers and partners were leading European universities and research institutions, including Ivan Franko National University of Lviv .

Dr. Marianna Kokhan, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, played an active role in the conference as a member of the Scientific Committee, a moderator of the project-focused session on innovation and responsible entrepreneurship, and a speaker presenting her research titled “Resilience as Strategy: How Ukrainian Businesses Adapt and Transform During War.” Her presentation highlighted the strategic responses of Ukrainian businesses to wartime challenges, emphasising resilience not only as a survival mechanism but as a driver of transformation and long-term development.

In addition, the conference featured the presentation of the international project German-Ukrainian Technology Transfer University Partnership (GUTT.UP), which focuses on strengthening innovation ecosystems, technology transfer, and entrepreneurship education in times of crisis . The project attracted considerable interest from the international academic community as a strong example of German-Ukrainian cooperation in higher education and innovation.

The co-organisation and participation in the conference also reflect a long-standing academic partnership with the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz, in particular the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial Policy and the Entrepreneurship Center. This collaboration has developed through joint organisation of scientific events, active engagement in international conferences, ongoing academic dialogue, and the preparation of joint project proposals aimed at advancing research and education in entrepreneurship and innovation.

This cooperation is further strengthened through the activities of the European Management Studio, which serves as a platform for integrating European management practices, fostering international academic exchange, and connecting research with business and educational innovation. Within this framework, the partnership with the University of Lodz contributes to the development of modern teaching formats, joint research initiatives, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of management and entrepreneurship.

All the conference activities contributed to the expansion of international academic networks, opened new perspectives for collaboration with European partners, and strengthened the integration of Ukrainian research into the global academic discourse. The Department of Management continues to actively develop international cooperation in entrepreneurship, innovation, crisis management, and sustainable development, reinforcing its position within the European academic and educational space.
