On Participating of Professor Marianna Kichurchak in the First International Teaching Week at the University of Minho

From November 4 to 8, 2024, Marianna Kichurchak, Acting Head and Professor at the Department of Economy of Ukraine at Ivan Franko National University, had the great privilege of participating in the First International Teaching Week organized by the University of Minho.

The initiative was organised by the International Mobility Office of the School of Economics and Management (EEG), with the support of the Erasmus academic coordinators of the EEG’s departments of Economics, Management, and Political Science, the EEG Presidency, and the Internationalisation Support Unit (USAI) of the University of Minho. The event, themed “Challenges in Times of Crisis for the Economy, Management, and Political Science”, brought together academics and professionals from diverse fields to address some of the most pressing global issues.

As part of the conference, Marianna Kichurchak delivered a presentation titled “Key Challenges Facing Ukraine after EU Integration,” which was warmly received by participants. In her presentation, she explored Ukraine’s path to EU integration, highlighting the key milestones and negotiations that shaped this historic transition. She examined the critical challenges Ukraine faces as a potential member of the European Union, with a particular focus on economic, social, and environmental dimensions. Additionally, she analysed the profound impact of the ongoing war on this integration process and its far-reaching economic, social, and environmental consequences.

The University of Minho’s International Teaching Week provided a vibrant platform for learning, research exchange, and meaningful dialogue.
