On the participation of acting Head of the Department of Economy of Ukraine Marianna Kichurchak in the International Staff Week at Uppsala University, Sweden

From May 14 to 20, 2025, Marianna Kichurchak, Acting Head of the Department of Economy of Ukraine at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, took part in the International Staff Week at Uppsala University, Sweden.

The event brought together university representatives from various countries and focused on important themes in modern higher education, including internationalisation, inclusiveness, the development of academic cooperation, and the promotion of student mobility. The programme also included an introduction to the rich history and academic traditions of Uppsala University – one of Europe’s oldest universities – along with visits to the Linnaean Gardens of Uppsala, the Gustavianum – Uppsala University Museum, and the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The International Staff Week provided a valuable platform for dialogue and exchange, creating new opportunities for future academic partnerships and joint initiatives.

Marianna Kichurchak expressed sincere appreciation to the organisers, especially Emma Elliott and Maria-Louise Olsen, for their warm hospitality and support, and to all participants from Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Mozambique, Tunisia, Morocco, and other countries for the fruitful discussions and collaborative spirit.

Her participation contributes to strengthening the international profile of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv and enhancing cooperation within the global academic community.
