Guest lecture by prof. Dr. Maryna Nehrey (Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zurich, Switzerland) for students of the program “Economic Cybernetics”

On Friday, April 5, a guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Maryna Nehrey (Collegium Helveticum, ETH Zurich (Federal Institute of Technology Zurich), Switzerland) on “Unlocking visual insights: Exploring data with R’s graphical analysis”. Maryna Nehrey specializes in research of the Ukrainian agricultural sector, risk management and economic modeling. Recently, she has been a visiting professor at the Agricultural Economics and Policy Group at ETH Zurich, which consistently holds the highest positions in the rankings of educational institutions in the world and Europe.

The event was held in English and was aimed at bachelor level students taking the course “Data Analysis Methods” (lecturer Larysa Zomchak) and master’s students (course “Financial Management Modeling”, lecturer Mariana Komar) of the specialty 051 “Economics” of the educational program “Economic Cybernetics”. The meeting was moderated by Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Cybernetics Larysa Zomchak.

The lecture was aimed at improving students’ analytical skills and expanding their understanding of the process of using the R language for effective visual display of data. Under the guidance of Maryna Nehrey, the participants of the event gained practical skills that are key in the context of modern economic analysis and research.

This initiative contributed not only to intensifying students’ interest in data analytics, but also to the expansion of their methodological arsenal for further research and practical tasks in the field of economics.
