On March 23, 2022, the London School of Economics (Faculty of Social Policy) hosted a public online event “Ukrainian view of the war in Ukraine: a panel discussion with scientists from Kharkiv, Lviv and Kyiv”, which was attended by representatives of the Department of Economic Theory at Lviv University- Professor Ostap Vatamanyuk and associate professor Tetyana Moryak.

More than 60 staff members and students of one of the best European universities had the opportunity to get acquainted with the analysis of Ukrainian scholars of various aspects of Russian aggression – the impact on international relations, economic and social consequences, etc. In particular, Professor Ostap Vatamanyuk substantiated several key theses on the political aspects of the Russian invasion and approaches to assessing the economic consequences of this war. Instead, Associate Professor Tetyana Moryak focused on key issues related to the future reconstruction of the Ukrainian economy.

The speeches of Ukrainian scientists provoked a lively response from the audience. During the discussion there was an active exchange of views on a dozen important and interesting issues.
